Questions about going
Still not sure about something? The missions team would rather hear from you than have you wonder.
Who can go on a mission trip?
Our trips are open to Mountain View Church members and regular attendees. Most welcome all experience levels, though a few have age or skill requirements — those are noted on the trip’s page.
I’ve never been on a mission trip. Is that okay?
More than okay. A lot of our participants are first-timers. Every team trains together before departure, and you’ll be supported the whole way through.
How much does a trip cost?
Cost varies by destination and length, and each trip page lists what’s included. Once you’re accepted, our team walks you through building a support plan.
How do I apply?
Every open trip has an Apply button that takes you to its signup form in Planning Center. Applications are reviewed as they come in.
How much time will I need to take off?
Most trips run one to two weeks including travel. Exact dates are listed on each trip page so you can plan around work or school.
What if the trip I want is full?
Reach out anyway. Spots open up more often than you’d think, and we can keep you posted on upcoming trips to the same region.
